Dixie Group expands into Suffolk, VA

The Dixie Group, a leader in the global shipping and oversized equipment, has expanded its operations into the Bridgeway Business Center (BBC) in Suffolk, VA. Dixie will occupy 80,000 SF of space at the 700,000 SF warehouse/distribution facility. Dixie’s Suffolk operations will specialize in the handling of large and oversized equipment, specifically mining, electrical and power-generated machinery.

With a strategic location in close proximity to the Port of Virginia and the I-684/I-64 interchange, the Bridgeway Business Center offers easy access to the vast transportation network in the area. The BBC was able to meet both Dixie’s interior space and outside storage requirements. The additional land on the 53 acre site was uniquely positioned to develop a “wareyard” where Dixie can store the oversized equipment that is typical of the import/export industry.
