Ashley Capital has entered into lease agreements with Cargill, Del Monte Fresh Produce, and Penske Logistics at the Calumet Business Center (“CBC”) in Chicago, IL. The leases total approximately 443,000 square feet at the 2.1 million square foot industrial park.
Cargill, Incorporated, a tenant at CBC since 1993, has signed a twelve year renewal for 335,000 square feet. Based out of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Cargill is the United State’s largest privately held corporation. Cargill’s business activities include the purchase and distribution of grain and other agricultural commodities throughout the world. CB Richard Ellis represented Cargill in their lease.
Del Monte Fresh Produce has signed a ten year renewal for 48,000 square feet. Del Monte is one of the world’s leading vertically integrated producers and distributors of fresh-cut fruits and vegetables. The firm distributes their products in more than 90 countries around the world.
Penske Logistics, a new tenant at CBC, has signed a four year lease for approximately 48,000 square feet. Penske provides supply chain solutions to industrial and consumer companies throughout the world. Their services include transportation, warehousing, international forwarding, and carrier management. Ashley Capital was represented by Darwin Realty and Penske Logistics was represented by CB Richard Ellis in this transaction.
