Paul D. Rubacha

Paul Rubacha is the co-founder and principal of Ashley Capital. Mr. Rubacha, along with co-founder Rick Morton, directs the firm’s investment activities and oversees the management of a professional staff located throughout six cities.

Prior to co-founding Ashley Capital, Mr. Rubacha served in senior capacities within the Real Estate Departments of Goldman Sachs, Citibank and Prudential Insurance Company. He holds both an undergraduate degree and MBA from Cornell University. Mr. Rubacha has lectured at Cornell, Harvard and Columbia Universities on the subject of real estate and urban planning and served as a panelist for various organizations including the Urban Land Institute, the U.S. Department of Transportation and Institutional Investor Magazine.

Mr. Rubacha participates in a variety of community and charitable organizations. He is currently a board member of the Cornell University Investment Committee and is active in several non-profit educational boards.

Richard A. Morton

Rick Morton co-founded Ashley Capital with Paul Rubacha in 1984. As principals, Mr. Morton and Mr. Rubacha work closely with their staff to identify value added investment opportunities which meet the defined goals of the firm.

Prior to co-founding Ashley Capital, Mr. Morton served as Director of Property Management for the Rosenberg Real Estate Equity Fund (RREEF) and as a General Manager within the Real Estate Department of Prudential Insurance Company. He holds an undergraduate from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Morton has attained both the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the Certified Property Manager (CPM), designations.

Mr. Morton’s extensive background and aptitude have defined him as a respected real estate professional. He has provided advisory services to a broad range of institutional investors. Mr. Morton has remained an active supporter of the UNC alumni community.
