Industrial Investment Grows in Covington Georgia - Ashley Capital

Ashley Capital Tenant, SKC, Expands Its Investment in Covington, GA

Industrial development continues to flourish in Covington, Georgia, part of the I-20 East submarket of Atlanta.

Absolics, Inc., a subsidiary of SKC Co. Ltd., broke ground earlier this month there on a $600 million new manufacturing facility that will supply proprietary computing glass substrate for semiconductors. This groundbreaking material is expected to increase the performance and power efficiency of computer chipsets.

Absolics will develop the new facility in two phases, with the first planned for completion by the end of 2023.

Ashley Capital recently completed phase one of its own development in Covington by delivering a 323,000 square foot Class A industrial building to the growing submarket. SKC has leased 161,000 SF of that facility and will take occupancy in early 2023. Phase two of what is known as the Covington Logistics Center has commenced, and delivery of a state-of-the-art 700,000 SF industrial facility is expected in the 3rd quarter of 2023.
