In August of 2015, Ashley Capital purchased 116 acres at the northeast corner of Amrhein and Eckles Roads in Livonia, Michigan from Revitalizing Auto Communities Environmental Response Trust (“RACER”) and renamed the site Livonia West Commerce Center.  RACER, created to clean up and market for sale General Motors’ (“GM”) former plants, had held the property since GM’s 2009 bankruptcy.  The site had been previously used by GM for its bumper plating operations until the 1990’s.  In 2016, Ashley Capital constructed a new distribution center for AMAZON.COM consisting of just over 1 million square feet.  The remaining land can accommodate another building of approximately 350,000 square feet.
